Description
Built in 1965, the Richard J. Daley Center is a 31-story, 1.5 million square foot government building hosting a law library, office space, and one of the nation’s largest courthouse systems (over 180 courtrooms). It was the first Chicago public building constructed in a modern architectural style and was designated as a landmark in 2002.

The building’s public plaza features a fountain and an original Pablo Picasso sculpture. Many of Chicago’s most recognized public events are held on Daley Plaza.
